it’s me Mizan,Md. Mizanur Rahman
Currently working as Programme Manager of MMS-CLP, married to Jamin
Sultan who is a lecturer of economics in college & I have 2 kids one
daughter of 8 eight yrs and son of 3 yrs. I am very happy with my family. I am
from comilla.
I completed my Masters of Social Science degree in Social welfare from
National University of Bangladesh & before that I did my Bachelor of Social
Science (honors) in Social Welfare from the Same University.
I have about 10 years Plus working experience in the senior level position of Project /Program
management and total 16 years in different
National & international
Development organization in the field
of Livelihood, Food Security ,
None formal Education, Disaster Management, Good governance, Capacity Building to different
stakeholder.
I started my career when I was
student of Higher Secondary level as Program organizer (Part time 36 hours in a
week) on July 01, 1996 at a newly established local level organization named Development
for Society in Comilla. Then I promoted to Program organizer (Accounts) ,
Area Manager in the same organization. after that I worked for 01 year in Centre
for Mass Education in Science (CMES) and 01 year in Peoples’ Oriented
Programme Implementation ( POPI). My most turning point of development career
was in Dhaka Ahsania Mission for SHOUHARDO Programme of 3.5 years as a Upazila Project Officer a
programme funded by USAID and supported by Care-Bd. because I learnt & gathered huge
expertise in the Field of Food security, sustainable livelihoods, Disaster
management & good governance & how to
utilize holistic approach in poverty alleviation . Then I worked National
Development Programme-NDP for 3.5 years in an unique programme “Food
Security for the Ultra Poor” Project funded by EC & supported by WFP. Then
I switched myself in international organization World Fish Bangladesh
for about one year as Project Coordinator of “Climate Change Agriculture and
Food Security project –CCAFS project.
After that on 23rd February 2013 I joined in CLP family as
Programme Manager of IMO named Manab Mukti Sangstha(MMS) through a
excellence contending selection process.
I am very happy to work in MMS Since MMS has
wonder working environment where from
bottom to top everybody is very much
cooperative & have a commitment to work for the people who is mostly
vulnerable and disaster prone area. I am
getting a friendly support from DD of MMS (SM Amir hossain Bhai) as well as my
director Habib ullah Bahar Bhai to smooth operation and implantation of the CLP
programme.
It’s my grand pleasure to work with CLP where I
can contribute to ensure sustainable livelihoods to chars dwellers so that they
come out from boundary of poverty, can co-opt from the shock of natural
disaster such river erosion, flash flood and so on. in this programme I got immense scope of work such Social development, VSL,
Health, Nutrition, infrastructure , Livelihoods, land support , Milk markets
Development project in one umbrella which are
enriches my credentials and career path and broaden my
knowledge in Sustainable development as well as real development .
At the end, from the deep in my heart I feel
proud whenever I saw a very cheerful smiling face & strong belief on the
eyes of CPHHs that they are in right highway of change their fate.
From my side, my future dream is to become
pioneer development worker & contributing to build a hunger free world as
soldier of the combat. Thanks everybody.
